AUKUS anniversary delivered 'updates on nuclear submarine acquisition'

Sky News host Chris Smith says it is the one year anniversary of the AUKUS agreement between the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia.

“Remember the multiple zoom hook-up between Johnson, Biden and Morrison? The one in which Joe forgot Scott Morrison’s name,” he said.

“Today, we got an update on the centrepiece of the agreement, the acquisition of nuclear submarines.”

Mr Smith said Defence Minister Richard Marles ruled out a “bespoke design” for the submarines and indicated the full plan is set to be revealed in March next year.

He discussed the issue with Peter Jennings Strategy Consultants founder Peter Jennings.
