Australians ‘want a share of profits’ from businesses

Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke says “10 years of wages not moving” is “extreme” and the Australian workforce “want a share of profits”.

“There’s nothing wrong with the Australian workforce believing they should have a better chance of keeping up with what’s happening in expenses in this county,” Mr Burke said during Question Time on Tuesday.

“I want more Australians to be able to afford some of those discretionary expenses.”
