COP15: Nations reach landmark deal to protect planet

Nearly 200 nations have agreed a landmark deal to protect the planet, at the United Nations’ COP15 biodiversity conference in Canada.
The cornerstone of the agreement is a pledge to protect 30 percent of the world’s lands and oceans by 2030.
The COP15 summit in Montreal had been regarded by many environmentalists as a “last chance” to put nature on a path to recovery.
