The Ekurhuleni council has yet to discuss any of the items of the agenda as parties argue over whether to hear a motion of no confidence before the adjusted budget.

The speaker of council and the chief whip are facing motions brought by minority parties.

And it’s emerged that ActionSA will vote in favour of the motion to remove speaker Raymond Dhlamini.
