Integrity in Australian politics “is in decline,” according to ANU Honorary Professor and the Centre for Public Integrity’s Colleen Lewis.
“We elect politicians to act in the public interest and to put party and personal interests way behind the public interest,” she told Sky News Australia.
"There isn’t any evidence that is supporting that emphasis it should be on the public interest."
