The Department of Employment and Labour has increased the minimum wage for farmworkers and domestic workers by 9.6%
The increase takes effect from 1 March 2023.
The pay hike also covers workers in the Expanded Public Works
Programme, the cleaning, wholesale and retail sectors.
This increase translates to R25.42 cents per hour for farm and
domestic workers and R13.97 cents for other sectors.
