MPC lits interest rates by 25 basis points

The Monetary Policy Committee on Thursday lifted the repo rate by 25
basis points.

This is the ninth rate hike since the current hike cycle started in
November 2021, totalling 375 basis points over the period. Now the
current prime lending rate is 10.75%.
