Sky News host Paul Murray says Australian MPs are using TikTok in a "surprisingly large number".
Mr Murray said about a third of MPs have a TikTok account.
"Some of the names may surprise you, because you would think these people, when it comes to Chinese data security, would be a little more awake to the issue," he said.
"Get off TikTok if you are an MP, please."
