My Journey | Tattooing and body modification

Two entrepreneurs dreamed of starting a tattoo parlour with nothing but passion for work. They want to celebrate tattoo culture, and hosting a tattoo convention is their way of eradicating the stigma of body art by celebrating it. Ndumiso Ramate and Sibusiso Dlamini run an influential tattoo parlour in the heart of Soweto. Soweto Ink opened its doors in 2014, welcoming urban natives to ink their bodies. The establishment prides itself on being the first black-owned professional tattoo shop in Soweto. To speak more about this creative venture, Soweto Ink co-founder, Ndumiso Ramate speaks to eNCA’s Rofhiwa Madzena. Courtesy #DStv403
