A new report by global civil society alliance CIVICUS and the Kenya Human Rights Commission highlights the decline in civic rights in the country. The bodies also urge the authorities to respect fundamental freedoms during this crucial period. Protest restrictions, attacks on journalists and the misuse of laws are of particular concern.
