Man Sets Himself Ablaze to Bring Attention to "Genocide" in East DR Congo | Vantage with Palki Sharma
The conflict in Eastern DRC is reaching a boiling point. Militants from the M23 armed group have captured the village of Kishishe again. They had killed 170 people in the village last December.
Another group, the ADF, is accused of hacking people to death in the town of Beni. The groups want to control the DRC's mineral-rich east.
They want access to gold and cobalt and are killing everyone in their path.
A UN peacekeeping force, MONUSCO, has been in the region for over 20 years, but have failed to stop the violence.
