The US Secretary is in the country on the occasion of the South Africa-United States Strategic Dialogue in Pretoria.
The two countries will review bilateral relations, consider new areas of cooperation and exchange views on matters of mutual interest.
The US is a major export market for South Africa and a source of foreign direct investment. Washington is also South Africa’s third largest trading partner.
In 2019 US foreign direct investment to South Africa was 7-point-8 US billion dollars.
