United States announce over $127-million in humanitarian assistance for Africa

The United States has announced more than 127-million-dollars in humanitarian assistance for Africa.
U.S. envoy to the United Nations, Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield, conveyed the message during a two-nation stop in the region which included visits to Uganda and Ghana. Bilateral ties between the U.S. and South Africa are set to be strengthened.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has arrived in South Africa. Washington DC seeks to reset its engagement with the continent. Blinken’s visit comes just after Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov’s visit to the continent.
