Voting CoJ new mayor expected on Friday

Ousted City of Johannesburg mayor Mpho Phalatse has conceded defeat, saying she’s taking her removal from office in her stride.

She was removed earlier today, with 129 councillors voting against and 140 in favour of a motion of no confidence.

Voting for a new mayor is expected tomorrow in Council chambers.
